The Jester's Tale | Polish short film

Communist Poland, 1960’. Young artist creates her best work. In order to freely express her thoughts on matters of art, truth and power , she disguises herself with one of the characters of her opus magnum – The Storyteller. It leads to a total collapse – not only of the work, but also of the writer herself. In the background of the story nameless Character is being manipulated by mysterious Doctor , who slowly breaks him, destroys him. Tries to prove him fragility of the ideas he believes in. The Storyteller's monologue is the last motif, in which he presents himself as a bard, as a great artist. He gives a speech to devoted to him audience.
